Textual evidence suggests that “The 12 Days of Christmas” song has French origins. For example, it wasn’t until the late 1770s that the partridge was introduced to England from France.
Dewan, a Hindu-background believer (HBB), is part of the Rajbongshi people group. He is originally from northern Bangladesh. At age 24, he left Bangladesh to live with his uncle in India. While he was there, he met a missionary who shared a gospel tract with him and began to talk with him about Jesus. Dewan put his faith in Christ and was baptized two years later. After seven years, he moved back to northern Bangladesh, where he currently lives.
Ever since moving back to northern Bangladesh, Dewan has been involved with ministry. He has been serving with Lok to implement our training in that area. He is also overseeing the local churches and following up with the new believers who put their faith in Jesus as a result of the outreaches that were done during KR trainings.
Pray for Dewan as he pastors a church for Musahar people and mourns the loss of his father, who recently passed away.
