Richard & SanjuIndia

The 12 Days of Christmas represent feast days for various saints. For example, December 26th is known as St. Stephen’s Day in honor of the first Christian martyr.

Richard and Sanju lead the Harvest Discipleship Network of 12 pastors who work in seven different states of India and Nepal. They gather twice a year to encourage one another through the challenges of ministry and to help keep each other focused on the Great Commission and the gospel. Unfortunately, it has been more difficult for them to meet in person, due to the changing political climate in India. These changes are also causing them to change how they do outreach and share the gospel.

We began training Richard in 2003, soon after he began missionary work in Jaipur, a gospel-resistant city. Over the years, he has been passing on our training to many of the locals in that area, including Sindhi Brahmin leaders. They just completed another round of training in November 2024. Richard says, “The word that best describes the highlight of 2024 is ‘release.’ These leaders are now ready to be released to train others! I am so encouraged that they are ready to take ownership and leadership of the ministry without me.” Richard’s wife, Sanju, has a significant women’s ministry and passes on our training to Sindhi Brahmin women.

Pray for these new leaders who have been released into ministry that they stay connected to God and faithful to their calling.
